If you’re new to false lashes, or you’ve tried them before but weren’t really feeling it, then you probably need some tips to start out. We’ve got you covered with our guide to the best false lashes for beginners, along with some myths.
Absolutely anyone can wear false lashes for any reason. If you just want to enhance your natural lashes, go for an extreme makeup look or change up your lash look day to day then you can. It’s totally up to you. Whatever age you are, whatever your eye shape and whether you wear glasses or contact lenses - you can wear lashes.
It’s all about getting a little confidence boost so that you’re looking or feeling your best. If you have fine, sparse lashes or you’ve experienced hair loss, such as alopecia, you can wear lashes and no-one ever needs to know if you don’t want them to.
Beginners lashes are lashes that are easier to use when you’re just starting out. Not all false lashes have been created equally. Some come with a thick, inflexible band that makes them harder to apply, or some come far too long and are much less easy to apply.
When you’re getting used to applying and wearing lashes for the first time, there are some things that you’re gonna want to look out for:
• Thin, flexible band
• The right size and style for your eye shape
• Lash fibres that are soft and look like they could be your real lashes
• Well-made lashes that’ll last.
If you’re new to applying lashes, choose a more natural style to blend in with your own lashes and give you a seamless lash look that won’t feel too full-on. Our Nude lashes are featherlight, flexible and have an undetectable lash band that makes them super-easy to apply. Plus they’re the perfect everyday style for any eye shape.
Want to go even more natural and make application easier than ever? A half lash, like our Minnie lash, looks natural, glam and can be easier to apply and blend than a full strip lash as it only needs to be placed at the outer edge of your eye. They suit most lash shapes and no trimming required.
Raw are another pair of beautiful, subtle cat eye lashes with a more natural look. These suit all eye shapes, as well as being lightweight and easy to wear and apply too.

Magnetic lashes can work, but it’s much more difficult to get a seamless, invisible band because of the attached magnets. We wanted to create flexible, natural-looking lashes that are undetectable and created our featherlight strip lashes with this in mind. We’ve still got our eye on magnetic lashes but we don’t think they’re quite there yet.
Got a fave pair of magnetic lashes that you’re not ready to give up on? Use a magnetic liner adhesive like our Magic Liner for fuss-free application, staying power and invisible lash hold.
You should apply your false eyelashes to the skin of your eyelids, and not your natural lashes. Attaching them to your lashes will look unnatural and could damage your own lashes too. Applying your lashes properly shouldn’t damage your natural lash. Both our Advanced Lash Glue and Magic Liner have been tested to make sure they’re completely skin safe.
Remember to remove your lashes correctly too so that you skip on damaging your natural lashes or skin. The skin on your eyelids and around your eyes is some of the thinnest and most delicate on your body, so you should definitely handle with care.
